Paul J. Loheide, M.D.

Dr. Loheide graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biology and received the Biology Award from the University of Louisville. He then earned his M.D. from the University of Louisville in 1998, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and graduated Cum Laude. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville in 2001, earning numerous awards including “Most Outstanding Senior Resident.” 

Dr. Loheide is board-certified in Internal Medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine. He initially practiced with Norton Community Medical Associates from 2001 until 2007, where he honed his expertise in preventative medicine, fitness, diabetes, hypertension, and lipid disorders. He also played an active role in education by hosting medical students and residents in his office, nurturing their interest in the private practice of Internal Medicine. 

In addition to a busy private practice, Dr. Loheide served as Chairman of the Medical Review Committee for Norton Suburban Hospital until 2007 and as medical director of Hurstbourne Rehabilitation Center from 2003 until 2008.  He serves on the board for Hosparus Health and is the Compliance, Risk and Quality Committee Chairperson.  He remains a member of the Kentucky Medical Association, American Medical Association, and Jefferson County Medical Society. His peers have voted him one of Louisville’s Top Internal Medicine Docs. He has been a frequent lecturer on lipids, hypertension, and diabetes. 

Beyond his interest in Internal Medicine, Dr. Loheide is passionate about preventative medicine and enjoys running for fitness.  He continues to enjoy reading and spending time with his family.
