Kelley M. McIntyre, M.D.
Dr. McIntyre graduated from the University of Louisville with a B.A. in Biology. Through the Alpha Epsilon Delta honor society in college, she was fortunate to meet her mentor, who sparked her interest in medicine. She earned her M.D. from St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada in 1999. This training enabled her to travel the world for course work in the Caribbean, and clinical rotations in the United Kingdom and New York City. She returned to her home state to complete her Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Louisville.
Dr McIntyre is board certified in Internal Medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. In 2002, she started her career with Norton Community Medical Associates. She worked outpatient private practice and inpatient at Audubon Hospital. She pursued further training in Obesity Medicine in 2008. She is one of the founders of the Norton Weight Management Program. She serves as a founding member and the President of the Bluegrass Obesity Society, a nonprofit organization. She has a passion for the field of Obesity Medicine and is an expert speaker in this area. In addition, she is a member of the Kentucky Medical Association, Greater Louisville Medical Society, and the Obesity Medical Association.
Dr. McIntyre practiced for over 21 years with Norton Healthcare. She is proficient in all areas of Internal Medicine. She values the patient-physician relationships she has developed over the years. She strives to provide personalized healthcare, with special interests in women’s health, and preventative and integrative medicine.
She lives with her husband David and their dogs Rocco and Stella. She loves making memories with her nieces and nephews. She appreciates the importance of following a healthy diet and lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys hot yoga, gardening, creating pottery and travel.
She is eager and grateful to embark on this new phase in her career by joining oneMD with its incredible staff and patients.
