Patrick Williams, M.D.
Dr. Williams is a native Kentuckian who received his B.A. in Biology from Western Kentucky University before attending the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. In 1997 he received his M.D., and stayed to complete a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, where he received the Outstanding Intern Teacher Award. He returned to his hometown of Hardinsburg before embarking on a career in Hospital Medicine as an Associate Professor of Medicine with the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Williams returned to Louisville in 2005 and has since served as medical director for the Hospital Medicine services at Jewish Hospital and Norton Brownsboro Hospital. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with Special Certification in Hospital Medicine and was twice named as one of Louisville’s best Internal Medicine physicians in the “Top Docs” edition of Louisville Magazine. He is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society and Kentucky Medical Association as well as a Diplomate of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine.
After 21 years of hospital based practice, Dr. Williams is excited to apply his vast experience with complicated medical patients to an innovative practice that focuses on healthy lifestyles and prevention of disease. He looks forward to establishing long term relationships with patients and affording them the access to their primary care physician that has been lost in today’s corporate medicine system.
Dr. Williams lives with his wife Alicia and their two English Bulldogs, Rocky and Lola. They have a daughter, Jaclyn, who is also studying medicine at the University of Cincinnati. He is a private pilot who, with his wife, enjoys traveling, hiking, and all things outdoors.
